Coprophilia, also known as fecophilia, is a paraphilia consisting of the condition of feeling sexual excitement focused on feces, often in conjunction with BDSM or infantilism.

Alternative terms include scat fetishism, japscat and scat play, which share a root with the scientific and literary term scatology.

Scat fetishism is featured prominently in some Japanese pornography. Despite a wide-spread stereotype, scat fetishism is not typical in German pornography. While the phrase scheisse porn does originate from the German slang word Scheiße (lit. "shit"). Some coprophiliacs engage in coprophagia, the eating of feces, popularised in the 70s by prominent underground "scat flick" personalities like Ned W. Waller of Yoga Niketan, is a potentially hazardous activity due to the risks of infection with diseases such as hepatitis. These people tend not to be pleased in sexual activities unless eating the feces of their partner. Note that even consuming one's own feces could have potentially harmful consequences, as the bowel bacteria are not necessarily safe to ingest.

Specific practices and their Colloquial and Scientific Terminologies

Coprophile activities are sometimes referred to by the euphemism hardsports, presumably by analogy with the use of the euphemism watersports for urolagnia and urophilia.

The German colloquial term for scat fetishism is Kaviar (caviar), analogous to Natursekt (natural champagne) for urine fetishism. It is possible that the belief of the prevalence of feces in German pornography came from the German Goo Girls films.

A brown shower refers to the practice of defecating on a person to derive sexual pleasure.

A Glass-Bottom Boat consists of placing plastic wrap on one's partner's head and then defecating on their face.

Other slang terms describing this practice include Meatloafing, FedEx'ng from Browntown and Karling.

There are different levels of the Karling. They include:

Cold Karling - involving a practice similar to the Cleveland Steamer (See Below).
Warm Karling - involving a practice similar to the Glass-Bottom Boat (See Above).
Hot Karling - The same as a Warm Karl except for the exclusion of the plastic wrap.
For afficionados of fecal sports, a cleaner version is to lie under a glass coffee table or its equivalent while the partner squats above and defecates. This satisfies the needs emanating from the visual cortex of the recipient without immersing him or her in anything messy. This variant is often referred to colloquially as a Cleveland Steamer. The reference to the city is derived from their professional football team the Cleveland Browns. Brown being the usual colour of feces and steam the product of the moist heat hitting cooler air.

Urolagnia (also known as urophilia) is a paraphilia involving sexual attraction to urine.

People with urolagnia often like to urinate in public, or urinate on, or be urinated on by other people, and may drink the urine. The consumption of urine is urophagia. Some like to watch others doing these things. These activities are often described by the euphemisms "golden showers" or "watersports" (which should not be confused with water sports).

As a sexual fetish, urine may be consumed or the person may bathe oneself in it. Other variations include arousal from wetting or seeing someone else wet their pants or underclothes, or wetting the bed. For some individuals the phenomenon may include a diaper fetish and/or arousal from infantilism. Watersports may also be used in a BDSM scene as a form of humiliation, sometimes involving desperation until incontinence or infantilization, sometimes physical humiliation associated with being urinated on or pressured to consume urine.

In contrast to practices such as coprophagia, urolagnia is generally considered harmless, as the urine of healthy individuals is sterile. However, a small risk exists if there is disease present, or bacterial infection of the urethra. There may also be secondary effects, such as skin rashes in individuals sensitive to urine.

In the absence of STDs, urine is generally safe to drink in small quantities. The main dangers are the high salt and mineral content. The high salt content usually does not pose a problem if the urine is sufficiently diluted and not consumed in mass quantities. One may also wish to drink some water after consuming urine in order to mitigate the effect of the high salt. The person whose urine will be consumed may also wish to drink some water (or diet soda, see below) several hours before the act in order to dilute the urine.

Since artificial sweeteners are excreted in urine, consuming artificial sweetener before urine play can lend a sweet taste to the urine. Drinking diet soda, or other beverages containing artificial sweetener, before urine play will have the dual effect of diluting the urine and sweetening it. However, if you taste sugar in you or your partner's urine and you or your partner have not consumed artificial sweetener, this may be a sign of diabetes and you should see a doctor.

The participants should use caution or avoid drinking urine if one or both of them are taking vitamin or mineral supplements or medication, since many of these are excreted in urine.

Urolagnia is sometimes associated with, or confused with, a sexual attraction to someone experiencing the discomfort or pain of a full bladder, a sadomasochistic inclination.
